Jewellery is part of your personal story. Take care of it as if it were part of yourself, and it will retain its beauty for longer.
Jewellery and cosmetic products
Jewellery can be sensitive to various cosmetic products such as creams, perfumes and hairspray. These substances can penetrate under pearls or stones and cause them to become dirty or lose their shine. For this reason, it is best to put on jewellery only after applying cosmetics to prevent unnecessary staining.
Jewellery and sweat or water
To protect your piece from damage, I recommend removing it before any physical activity that could expose it to water or sweat. These factors can cause loss of shine or leave unsightly stains on the jewellery.

Jewellery and handicrafts
When performing manual tasks that could cause mechanical damage, such as abrasion or scratching of the surface, it is advisable to remove your jewellery. This prevents unnecessary wear and tear and preserves its beauty.
Jewellery and chemicals
When using cleaning products or other chemicals, it is best to remove your piece to prevent damage. Some chemicals can destroy the surface of metals or damage pearls and stones.
Putting on and taking off jewellery
Jewellery should be the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off. At the same time, when putting on the jewellery, pay attention to the correct closure of the clasp to avoid losing it.
Storing jewellery correctly
It is important to pay attention to how you store your jewellery. Ideally, individual pieces should be stored separately, for example in soft fabric pouches, special boxes or a dark jewellery box. This will prevent scratches on the surface and tangling of delicate chains.

Sleeping with jewellery
If you forget to take off your jewellery before going to bed, most of the time it does not matter. However, it is advisable to take off longer chains and stud earrings before bed to prevent the chain from tangling, mechanical damage or loss.
Jewellery cleaning
You can easily clean your jewellery at home. Simply immerse it in warm water with a little mild soap – I recommend liquid soap or gentle laundry soap (the soap must not contain exfoliating particles). Then gently wipe it with a damp cloth or the softest toothbrush to remove any dirt. Carefully dry the jewellery with a dry cloth.
